Causes of Hair Loss
The causes of hair loss are many, but before describing them you should remember that the hair has characteristics such as density, texture, appearance and color, intimately related to heredity and hormonal balance.
The condition is the scalp is multifactorial, and that can be associated both with the general state of health, hygiene and capillary chemistry used shampoo and other items used in hair care as comb, brushes, dryers, etc. Normally, adults lose 50 to 100 hairs per day, as when a hair falls out, another is born at the same time, but when this ratio is exceeded, it is considered that this release is abnormal, being necessary to investigate which are the causes of decline hair.
Usually a hair grows an inch per month, more in summer than winter. The life cycle of a hair follicle is performed in 3 phases: anagen (growth), catagen (transition) and telogen (shedding). There are alterations of hair growth, hair loss in both congenital and those acquired. At the determinants of hair loss, also are known as risk factors by interfering in the growth and development of the hair follicle and are listed below:
- Advanced age
- Abuse of alcohol
- Polycystic ovaries
